Dr. Ellaurie Presents at Ballantrae Golf & Country Club’s Active Aging Week
Dr. Ellaurie was invited back to Ballantrae Golf & Country Club’s Active Aging Week to do a presentation for the third year in a row. Active Aging Week is an annual health promotion event held each year for residents of Ballantrae Golf and Country Club during the last week of September. The week-long observance celebrates adults ages 50 and older as fully participating members of society and promotes the benefits of leading an active, healthier lifestyle. It also highlights the ability of older adults to live well, regardless of age or health conditions.
Yesterday, Dr. Ellaurie talked about “Great Vision for Life”. During the presentation, she discussed the normal aging process of the eyes, the most common eye diseases in Canada, and gave advice on how everyone can protect their eyes and prevent eye disease. Dr. Ellaurie enjoys doing presentations and looks forward to this event every year.
